Outside of this I have produced and co-produced many other productions that have attracted regional and local touring and been highly regarded in the industry and by the public. It is no secret that Holden Street has been the platform for a lot of the work I have done in the last 20 years and I’m very proud of this. It has opened many doors and given me great experiences.

I have achieved a lot of great things at Holden Street - The Directors Choice seasons, The Holden Street Theatres’ Edinburgh Fringe Award and the Holden Street Theatres’ Adelaide Fringe Award. I seeded the idea for the Made In Adelaide program to Arts South Australia and then being a member of the steering committee and a partner in the program.

I wrote and developed the produciton of That Boy and am now enjoying working on new work and collaborating wioth great artists. I started The Chalk Farm Theatre Co. and The Recycled Theatre Company and wrote the four ‘Shakespeare For Kids’ plays that we developed, employing actors at full equity rates in various productions and workshops for over four years. These plays were published and are now used in schools and small theatre groups.

With my amazing team, I activated the Adelaide Town Hall as a Fringe venue with 6 performances spaces in 2011 & 2012 and now we have up to 6 performance spaces at Holden Street.

We are enjoying the next adventure of producing work for local artists at the same level as the work we tour in from overseas and that see on the main stage in SA, and have some of these companies, directors and writers work with our local actors. To create new work with great artists and to offer roles that break the norm.

Festival Hits Hall - Advertiser 2011

THE Adelaide Fringe has a history of premiering new artists and works and this year is no different.

But this time it is the success of a new venue that has everyone talking - the Adelaide Town Hall.

Holden Street Theatre director Martha Lott approached the Fringe two years ago with the idea of using it as a venue and once the Town Hall staff were on board council approved it
